Yamamoto threw six scoreless innings against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 26-year-old threw nine strikeouts, issued two walks and four hits.
Despite an outstanding outing from the Dodgers ace, the Cardinals defeated L.A. 2-1. The Dodgers lineup struggled to give Yamamoto any run support, but had several chances to do so throughout Saturday’s game.
