SAN FRANCISCO -- Win, lose or tie. Division title or Wild Card. The Dodgers plan to celebrate if they officially clinch a postseason berth. And manager Dave Roberts makes no apologies for it one year after his club had the best regular-season record in the Majors.
"I look forward to that opportunity," Roberts said Saturday morning while monitoring the Cardinals' 2-1 win over the Cubs. "I do talk about celebrating victories. There's guys who've been part of five division titles, but any time you get an opportunity to celebrate, it's a good thing."
Unless the Dodgers must play a National League Wild Card tiebreaker on Monday on the road, they will fly home after Sunday's regular-season finale against the Giants.
