Walker Buehler Giving Information to Phillies About Dodgers, Will Play Role in NLDS

Former Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler has been giving the Philadelphia Phillies information on the Dodgers’ lineup for the NLDS.

Buehler joined the Phillies after the Boston Red Sox, with whom he signed in the offseason, released him at the end of August. He had a 4.93 ERA during the regular season, making 26 appearances between the two teams. The right-hander spent the first seven seasons of his MLB career on the Dodgers.

“I think he’s given some information to our pitching coaches,” said Phillies manager Rob Thompson. “He’s a winner. It’s like having [Zach Wheeler] around.
