It was a nice win last night and even nicer that Joc Pederson actually got a couple of hits. However, two things you might not have seen hold a great deal of significance:
- Hector Olivera played 3B for the Arizona Rookie League Dodgers (0-3); and
- Julio Urias returned from face surgery to pitch 2 shutout innings with 3 K’s and no walks for the same team.
It’s likely both will play a part in the Dodgers quest for a World Championship THIS season. I know Mike Brito believe that Urias is ready now, but what will Gabe Kapler say?
