Triple-Crown winning jockey to throw first pitch tonight at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES — Victor Espinoza, who rode American Pharoah to thoroughbred racing’s first Triple Crown since 1978 last year, will throw the ceremonial first pitch before tonight’s Los Angeles Dodgers-Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Freeway Series game at Dodger Stadium.

The national anthem will be sung by county singer/songwriter Dani Rose, the lead singer of the female trio Honey Country.

U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Eric Davis of Eagle Rock will be honored as the Military Hero of the Game.

Auto gates will open at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates at 5:10 p.m., with the first pitch set for 7:10 p.
