The Los Angeles Dodgers went one month needing to utilize bullpen games in the wake of Dustin May requiring season-ending Tommy John surgery, but they will have a full starting rotation next week once Tony Gonsolin is reinstated from the 60-day injured list.
Gonsolin completed a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday night, pitching 3.2 innings, which was short of the goal but due to what Dodgers manager Dave Roberts explained was a “little stomach thing.”
Overall, Gonsolin threw 10.1 innings across three rehab starts for Oklahoma City. He allowed four runs on six hits (two home runs) and collected nine strikeouts.
