The Los Angeles Dodgers had their final split-squad doubleheader of the spring Sunday afternoon, which saw a travel contingent head to Maryvale for a matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers. Manny Bañuelos made his second start of the spring for Los Angeles.
Bañuelos struggled against the Brewers’ high-powered offense, as he surrendered six hits and six runs in 3.1 innings of work. The left-hander walked three and finished with as many strikeouts in the Dodgers’ 7-3 defeat.
Milwaukee did not waste time putting runs on the board, as Christian Yelich hit a home run to lead off the bottom of the first inning.
