Solo shot from Jeter Downs salvages split for Quakes

All four affiliates lost but the Quakes also got the win in the second game of their doubleheader.

The Dodgers couldn’t catch the Storm Chasers (Royals) as they lost 5-3. Trailing by five in the eighth inning, the Dodgers were able to score three and have the tying run at the plate but could not get one more big hit.

Dennis Santana started and pitched five innings and gave up three runs (one earned). He struck out six and walked two. Justin Grimm followed and he allowed the other two runs to the Storm Chasers.
