Seton Hall Poll Shows Majority Of Americans Wouldn’t Attend Sporting Events Until There’s Coronavirus Vaccine

According to a poll by Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business that had 762 respondents, 72% of Americans said they would not attend sporting events if they resumed until there is a vaccine for the coronavirus (COVID-19) in place.

This has been a popular topic in recent weeks as sports leagues attempt to get back underway at some point in 2020. Major League Baseball has discussed a variety of options to make that possible, with the most likely being all games played in Arizona with no fans in the stadium.

Fans were also polled on if they would watch games on TV if they are played in empty stadiums, and 76% said they would and do so with the same amount of interest they had before the pandemic.
