Scott Van Slyke was activated today and Chris Hatcher went on the DL, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Currently, the Dodgers have the following players on the DL (I have included their status by their name):
- Pedro Baez (soft tossing – nearing a rehab assignment)
- Brandon Beachy (just started a 30-day rehab assignment)
- Brandon League (rehabbing – probably less than two weeks away)
- Brandon McCarthy (see ya’ next year)
- Paco Rodriguez (rehabbing – probably less than two weeks away)
- Hyun-Jin Ryu (see ya’ next year)
- Ross Stripling (while not on the 40-man roster, he is on rehab and could likely get a call up in July or August)
- Joel Peralta (rehabbing – probably less than two weeks away)
- Carl Crawford – (who the hell knows – I told you this was a bad deal)
- Hector Olivera (not on the DL, but in the “getting ready mode” and that could be as soon as tomorrow)
That’s eight (8) players who could transition to the Dodger roster.
