Rich Hill throws five no-hit innings in rehab start

Rich Hill took a step closer to returning to the Dodger rotation in an abbreviated night on the farm.

Player of the day

Hill threw five shutout innings in what could be his final rehab start for Rancho Cucamonga. While he walked three, Hill needed just 68 pitches to get through his planned five innings of work. Though the Quakes couldn’t follow through on Hill’s no-hit bid, he still earned the win for his efforts Wednesday night.
