Former Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Jose Ureña elected free agency in mid-June after being designated for assignment by the team.

Now, the right-handed pitcher has found his next home. Ureña signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins. He was assigned to Triple-A St. Paul.
Ureña made just two appearances for the Dodgers in 2025. He allowed one run across three innings pitched against the New York Mets at the beginning of June. He threw two strikeouts and issued one walk on 37 pitches in two games.
