When Clayton Kershaw was selected as a “Legend Pick” for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game in Atlanta, he didn’t really know how to feel about it.
“My initial response was you don’t ever want to take somebody’s spot or you don’t ever want to be like a sideshow,” Kershaw said. “You just want to be a part of it if you deserve it.”
While Kershaw has pitched well this season — to the tune of a 3.38 ERA over 10 starts — they weren’t exactly All-Star numbers. Not for a pitcher with three Cy Youngs, an MVP award and a career 2.
