Another start brought another poor result for Alex Wood, as the Los Angeles Dodgers fell 7-3 to the San Diego Padres on Sunday, spoiling a potential sweep.
The Dodgers (22-17) took an early lead over the Padres (19-21) thanks to an RBI double by Code Bellinger and an RBI by Mookie Botts. Staked to a 2-0 lead after the first, Wood worked through two clean innings before falling apart again.
However, a two-run homer off the bat of Wil Myers tied the game at 2-2 before Trenton Grisham put the Padres ahead with an RBI single.
