Brandon Beachy’s full return from a second Tommy John surgery in three years took another turn Wednesday when the Dodgers outrighted the right-hander to triple-A Oklahoma City.
That opens a spot on their 40-man roster, always an interesting development, whether in anticipation of another move or to provide simple flexibility.
The Dodgers said Beachy, 29, will still join the Dodgers in camp next month as a non-roster invitee.
The Dodgers just signed Beachy three weeks ago to a non-guaranteed $1.5-million contract that includes several performance bonuses.
