The Dodgers are very blessed to have longtime commentator Stephen Nelson join the team’s broadcast booth this season. Nelson is going to call somewhere around 50 games for the Dodgers this year, filling in for Joe Davis when his other job at FOX calls.
Nelson made an appearance in the booth on Opening Day, hanging out with Davis and Orel Hershiser. Then, just one day later, he was taking over for Davis, whose duties at FOX called.
Nelson worked that Friday and Saturday, and during Saturday’s game, shared an incredible story involving his partner in the booth.
