Stephen Nelson just recently joined the Dodgers family, signing on to do play-by-play for SportsNetLA on about 50 games in 2023 when lead PxP announcer Joe Davis isn’t available. Now, Nelson is welcoming someone new to his family, too.
Nelson and his wife, Cori Coffin, will be welcoming their second child at some point in the not-too-distant future. The couple’s son, Kai, was born in August of 2021. Stephen and Cori got married in 2018.
Nelson was announced as the newest member of LA’s broadcast team last month, a homecoming of sorts for the Orange County native who went to high school in Huntington Beach and college in Orange.
