It has been an incredibly difficult year for Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts.
After being away from the team and in his hometown of Nashville, TN, this weekend, it was revealed that the reason for his absence was the passing of his stepfather.
The entire Dodgers community is sending their prayers and support to Betts and his family during this time.

After the Dodgers beat the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday, with Betts legging out an infield single to start the rally with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, manager Dave Roberts cautiously explained that his shortstop may miss some time.
