MLB Insider Says Cody Bellinger is a Better Fit for NL Rival

The MLB’s Winter Meetings have provided several huge signings already, and another big development came on Wednesday.

All-Star first baseman Pete Alonso reportedly signed a five-year, $155 million deal with the Baltimore Orioles, becoming the second New York Met to avoid re-signing with the team in as many days.

With one of the biggest bats in the league now missing from the lineup, MLB insider Jon Morosi named Cody Bellinger as a player who could potentially fill Alonso’s spot in the lineup in Queens.

Bellinger has been heavily linked to teams across MLB this offseason, but the Dodgers are perhaps the most hopeful for his signature.
