Justin Turner and the Los Angeles Dodgers are hosting approximately 400 pre-selected veterans and active duty service members from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard for batting practice at Dodger Stadium on Monday.
The event, in honor of Veterans Day, is also open to family members of the participants and includes a luncheon. Turner will be joined by Dodgers alumni Ron Cey, Steve Yeager, Billy Ashley and Dennis Powell.
Service members will have the opportunity to take batting practice on the field as well as enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Dodger Stadium.
