Hector Olivera placed on DL with hamstring injury

Olivera injured his hamstring on Saturday vs. Memphis.

Dodgers infielder Hector Olivera was placed on the seven-day disabled list by Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday with a hamstring injury, retroactive to Sunday.

Olivera, who signed a six-year, $62.5 million contract with the Dodgers in May, was performing well in both Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City, hitting a combined .358/.393/.528 with two home runs in 13 games. He has played nine games at third base, and four more at second base.

But he pulled up while running to first base in the sixth inning on a ground ball to shortstop on Saturday against Memphis, and was removed from the game.
