I am waiting to hear from Deep Throat on this one!
It was announced yesterday that the Dodgers have hired Ron Roenicke as 3B Coach for the rest of the season, relieving Al Bundy of that job and moving John Valentin out of the dugout. Maybe this does three things:
- Gets rid of a 3B Coach is isn’t so good at times;
- Gets rid of one hitting coach in the dugout during the game; and
- Provides another option for the next Dodger manager!
Ron Roenicke has a long association with the Dodgers and Mike Scioscia, in fact.
