Former Dodgers Pitcher Signs 1-Year Deal With Cardinals

Former Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Dustin May signed a one-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday.

May began his career with the Dodgers in 2019, making 14 appearances in his debut season. Injuries plagued him in a Dodgers uniform, and he never made more than 20 appearances for the team in a single season.

May’s best season with the Dodgers came in 2020, when he had a 2.57 ERA through 12 appearances, 10 of which were starts. The right-hander won the World Series that season. He made single digit appearances in each of the subsequent three seasons, and missed the 2024 season in its entirety while recovering from a torn esophagus.
