Former Dodgers Outfielder James Outman Called Up By Twins

Former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman was called up by the Minnesota Twins Saturday.

Minnesota’s official roster move was placing outfielder Alan Roden on the 10-day injured list, and recalling Outman from Triple-A St. Paul.

The Dodgers traded Outman to the Twins in exchange for reliever Brock Stewart, who was LA’s most notable addition at the deadline.

The 2023 season was Outman’s best with LA, as he averaged .248 with 23 home runs, 70 RBIs and an OPS of .790 as the Dodgers’ everyday center fielder. However, he could not match that same production in 2024 and 2025.
