Right-handed pitcher Chris Martin, who will turn 40 in the middle of the 2026 season, is re-signing with the Texas Rangers on a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. The club has yet to confirm the deal, which is pending a physical.
Martin, who spent 26 games with the Dodgers after they acquired him from the Chicago Cubs in 2022, spent last season with the Rangers, holding a 2.98 across 42.1 innings as a reliever.

Martin struggled to stay healthy in the second half of the season, landing on the IL multiple times due to shoulder fatigue, calf strains and thoracic outlet syndrome, which ultimately ended his season.
