Los Angeles Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw ended an illustrious 18-year career in MLB with a third World Series ring. There could have been no better curtain call for the future Hall of Famer, and a former teammate of Kershaw’s acknowledged this at the ninth annual Justin Turner Golf Classic.

“I was glad he got in the extra-inning game. I’m glad he made that big pitch and got out of that jam. When you have guys like that who are just icons of the game, it’s pretty cool that they get to walk away from it winning their last one,” Turner told AM 570 Sports.
