LOS ANGELES -- It had been a long time, almost a year, since Joe Smith had allowed a home run.
The Angels set-up man served one up in an inopportune time Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium. With two outs in a tied eighth inning, Andre Ethier drove a fastball to dead center, a few feet past the fence, for a go-ahead homer. Two innings later, Ethier drove a Drew Rucinski out to right field for the decisive two-run homer in the Dodgers' 5-3 win in 10 innings.
Six of the game's eight runs scored via home run.
