Los Angeles Dodgers closer Edwin Diaz had an impressive performance his spring training debut with L.A. on Wednesday.
Diaz got through his one-inning outing in just 12 pitches, recording two fly outs and a strikeout on just one hit — a dribbler down the first base line.
The closer is the Dodgers’ biggest pitching addition from this offseason, as he signed a three-year, $69 million deal in Dec. 2025. He has established himself as one of MLB’s best pitchers throughout his career, making three All-Star Games and logging 253 saves in nine seasons.
