When Will Smith first appeared in the majors in 2019, fans couldn’t wait to see the heralded catcher in action for the Dodgers. On May 28, 2019, he walked to the plate for the first time at a major leaguer and was appropriately accompanied by “Yo Home to Bel-Air” — more commonly known as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song which was written by Will Smith… the artist.
Since that date, Will Dills Smith has walked up to the plate to the tune of the Fresh Prince. However, that may soon be changing.
