After several publications picked Gavin Lux to take home Rookie of the Year honors heading into the 2020 season, expectations were high surrounding the Dodgers’ number 1 and MLB’s number 2 overall prospect.
Unfortunately, Lux was late to report to summer camp. When he eventually joined the team, Lux struggled to hit his stride. “At this point in time he just wasn’t synced up,” Dave Roberts said of Lux’s performance and ultimately he was left off the Dodgers opening day roster and was optioned to the alternate training site at USC.
