Dodgers Viewed as ‘Team to Beat’ in Kyle Tucker Sweepstakes, Per MLB Insiders

The Los Angeles Dodgers have had some glaring weaknesses from their outfield this season, which has led many around the league to believe that they are the “team to beat” in the Kyle Tucker sweepstakes this offseason.

The four-time All-Star from the Chicago Cubs is currently batting .270/.381/.472 with an OPS of .854 on the year. He has added 22 home runs along with 77 RBIs to go with an OPS+ of 149, almost 50 percent better than league average.

ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel wrote that that the Dodgers “were mentioned by a number of industry insiders” regarding Tucker, and it is likely that it’s for more reasons than their past willingness to spend big on top free agents.
