While the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic brought Major League Baseball, retailers, restaurants and other sectors to a grinding halt, thousands have simultaneously been called upon to help flatten the curve and still carry out their responsibilities as essential workers.
Doctors and nurses continue to work around the clock, and the group at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles were recently treated to lunch and dinner courtesy of Justin and Kourtney Turner. The couple additionally has partnered with local restaurants to have food delivered to the L.A. Dream Center, which then distributes it as part of its 11-hour drive-thru service.
The charitable efforts are of course nothing new, as the Justin Turner Foundation regularly works to give back to the local community and provide for those in need.
