The Dodgers continued their road trip in Washington DC this evening, starting off a 3-game set against the Nationals. And while there aren’t many storylines to this particular series, there is at least one that the media was all over.
That was the return of Trea Turner. The All-Star shortstop was traded to the Dodgers at the deadline last year and never got the chance to give or receive a proper goodbye from the place where he won a World Series title in 2019.
And when he stepped into the batter’s box for the first time, the Nationals’ fanbase gave him the respect he deserved.
