The Los Angeles Dodgers showed enough interest in right-handed reliever Devin Williams last offseason that the multi-time All-Star thought he was going to wind up in LA.

“I kinda thought I’d be going to LA,” Williams said at his introductory press conference with the New York Yankees after being traded from the Milwaukee Brewers. “That was what I was being told. And the Yankees snuck in there under the table and got the deal done.”
Maybe he was just a year ahead of schedule.
