Dodgers’ Tony Gonsolin Provides Update on Bloody Injury in Loss to Angels

Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Tony Gonsolin did not have an ideal start Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels in the Freeway Series finale. Gonsolin struggled with his command, and the issue appeared to stem from a blister he had on his thumb that popped.

Gonsolin had stains of blood on his pants as the right-hander attempted to wipe off the blood from his thumb. The right-hander proceeded to give up two home runs in the first inning, including a leadoff shot to Angels shortstop Zach Neto.
