The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to call up right-hander Julian Fernandez ahead of their three-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Fernandez has been out of MLB since 2021 when he made six appearances with the Colorado Rockies. Since then, he has mostly been logging innings in Triple-A, while also playing in Mexico and the Dominican Winter League.
Fernandez made quite an impact during his brief tenure, torching a 102.8 mph pitch in October 2021. This proved to be the fourth-fastest offering of the MLB season and was the fastest thrown in Rockies history since pitch-tracking became available in 2008.
