Once the Los Angeles Dodgers were approved by the county to welcome fans back to Dodger Stadium this season, the team announced a wide range of new health and safety protocols for the 2021 regular season.
Among them was a new process for ordering from concession stands throughout the ballpark. Fans were asked to make purchases at Dodgers.com/food. A menu walked them through the process and an automated text message was sent once an order was ready to be picked up.
The purpose of mobile ordering was to reduce the likelihood of fans gathering on the concourses, but the system did not hold up well during the Dodgers’ home opener.
