The Dodgers reportedly agreed to terms Wednesday with one of the most coveted players in right-handed pitcher Yadiel Alvarez for $16 million.
The 19-year-old Cuban, ranked No. 2 on MLB.com’s Top 30 International Prospects list, touts a 98-mph fastball as well as a good slider and changeup and projects as a frontline starter.
Outfielder Starling Heredia, infielder Ronny Brito and shortstop Oneal Cruz also signed with the Dodgers.
