Dodgers Sign Joe Wieland

Dodgers have resigned RHP Joe Wieland to a 1 year deal for $590,000, the exact same amount that he earned in 2015. Weiland, 26, was eligible for salary arbitration but choose to resign instead, which makes sense as he was predicted to receive the league minimum in arbitration.

Weiland came to the Dodgers from the Padres in the trade that sent Matt Kemp to San Diego. Weiland spent most of the season in triple-A but did make two starts for the Dodgers in 2015. He finished 0-1 with a 8.31 ERA. However, in the minors Wieland finished with a 10-5 record with a 4.
