Ohtani — who is often referred to as a unicorn in the sport — signed a 10-year, $700 million landmark deal with the Dodgers ahead of the 2024 season. His inaugural season with the Dodgers featured just one side of Ohtani as he recovered from UCL surgery.

Ohtani’s role as the Dodgers’ designated hitter last season did not disappoint. He had one of the most dominant offensive seasons ever, as he set career-highs in home runs, hits, runs scored, runs batted in, doubles, and stolen bases.
