Dodgers Select Contract of Infielder Andy Burns and DFA Dennis Santana

The Dodgers are making some moves ahead of their Saturday matchup against the Rangers. Dave Roberts had previously said that they would go back to a normal bench after carrying an excess amount of relievers, and it looks like that’s what they’re doing.

On Saturday morning, the Dodgers selected the contract of infielder Andy Burns from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Burns has played in 30 games with OKC and batted .330 with 16 extra-base hits, including 5 homeruns.

In order to make room for Burns on the 40-man roster. the Dodgers designated Dennis Santana for assignment.
