The Dodgers have had to rely on some unexpected pieces early on in the season. With the number of injuries that have occurred over the last couple of weeks, Los Angeles has seen a few guys step up in a big way.
One guy that has been a pleasant surprise is Scott Alexander. The Dodgers have leaned on him heavily in the early going, and he’s rewarded that faith with some high-leverage outs. Unfortunately, they’ve been without him for about a week now.
