Dodgers Rumors: MLB Insider Provides Update on LA’s Pursuit of Relievers at Trade Deadline

The Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly not desperate to add another reliever ahead of the July 31 trade deadline.

Cleveland Guardians three-time All-Star reliever Emmanuel Clase and Minnesota Twins’ 2022 Pitcher of the Year Jhoan Duran have been rumored as potential trade targets for Los Angeles. However, Clase was placed on non-disciplinary paid leave as part of MLB’s sports betting investigation on Monday.

Clase’s trade value has now completely diminished, and regardless, the Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal said the Dodgers are not willing to pay the high price both of those relievers would command, despite the struggles the bullpen has been facing.
