The Los Angeles Dodgers officially reinstated Tony Gonsolin from the 60-day injured list ahead of his start Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Yoshi Tsutsugo was placed on the 10-day IL with a right calf strain, and Scott Alexander was transferred to the 60-day IL in order to add Gonsolin to the 40-man roster and activate him.
He had been sidelined since April 4 (retroactive to Opening Day) because of right shoulder inflammation. “It was kind of at the end of Spring Training. I thought it was just normal soreness,” Gonsolin explained of the injury.
“I hadn’t really felt sore before that, so I thought I just had a little soreness or whatever.
