Dodgers: Rangel Ravelo is Absolutely Tearing Up Triple-A Pitching

The Dodgers signed first baseman Rangel Ravelo to a minor league deal this past offseason. While many didn’t think much of the signing, it’s turned out to be a good one. Andrew Friedman was looking for a good right-handed bat to plug into the big league bench, and he might have found one.

Ravelo played parts of 2 seasons at the big league level with the Cardinals. Unfortunately, he never found the success that he did playing in St Louis’ minor league system. That led to him being non-tendered and released following the 2020 season. The Dodgers scooped him up soon afterward.
