The Los Angeles Dodgers held their breath as Shohei Ohtani walked off the mound in the middle of an at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning of Wednesday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Ohtani pitched into the fourth inning for the first time this season, but struggled to find his command, throwing six straight balls (including two wild pitches) before exiting the game mid at-bat.
Ohtani was able to remain in the game as the designated hitter, easing immediate concerns about any serious injury.
