Dodgers promote Bill Haselman to triple-A in new managers lineup

Bill Haselman, your star is officially rising.

The Dodgers released their managerial lineup for their 2016 minor league system Monday, and leading the way was the announcement that Haselman would direct Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Haselman, 49, spent 13 years in the majors as a backup catcher for four different organizations. Like new Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts, he is a UCLA product.

Haselman managed in the minors for the Rangers and Angels before joining the Dodgers in 2012. He managed Class-A Rancho Cucamonga to the California League title last season.

The rest of the Dodgers’ minor league managers announced were: Ryan Garko (Double-A Tulsa), Drew Saylor (Rancho Cucamonga), Gil Velaquez (Class-A Great Lakes), Shaun Larkin (Rookie Advanced Ogden) and John Shoemaker (rookie-level Arizona League).
