The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially placed Kiké Hernández on the injured list with left elbow inflammation. James Outman, who’s with the team in Milwaukee, has been added to the active roster as a replacement.
Additionally, right-handed pitcher Julian Fernandez has been added to the active roster. Left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski has been optioned. To make room on the 40-man roster, infielder CJ Alexander was designated for assignment.
This move comes as no surprise as manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Hernández has been dealing with an elbow issue for the last month.
