The Los Angeles Dodgers are no strangers to pitching injuries this season, but something just as frustrating as an All-Star being moved to the injured list, is an All-Star underperforming.
When Tanner Scott inked a four-year, $72 million contract this offseason, it was largely due to his 1.75 ERA over 72 innings last season. So far in 2025, the recently formidable bullpen arm isn’t as recognizable, sporting a 4.56 ERA with five blown saves in 27 appearances.
Scott still has a team-leading 10 saves, as well as 28 strikeouts to just three walks on the year, but Dodgers pitching coach Mark Prior spoke honestly about his closer.
