Dodgers Pitcher Chooses to Leave Organization, Heads to Free Agency

The Los Angeles Dodgers designated right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen for assignment on Sunday. Once he cleared waivers, the team sent him outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

However, Feyereisen rejected the outright assignment, and instead elected free agency on Tuesday

The Dodgers designated Feyereisen for assignment to make room for newly-signed reliever Chris Stratton.

Feyereisen opted to exercise his right to enter the free agent market. He has at least three years of service time and had a previous outright in July 2024, which made him eligible to elect free agency.
